What the Booster Club does:

Enhances the experience of the players and coaches of the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity Softball Teams by providing financial and logistical support for the program.

Who is involved:

All coaches and parents of a player are members. You are welcome to be involved by attending meetings and participating in our activities. The Booster Club is an independent entity separate from the high school with our own bylaws, governance and finances. Our board consists of a Club President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary that are voted in at the beginning of each season. We also identify, and coordinate with, Team Parents for each team to assist with fundraising, team photographs, and other needs. Meetings are held every few weeks during our short season, and periodically during the off-season, normally at the CHS cafeteria.

What we do:

Every year we coordinate fundraising activities to benefit the teams in a variety of ways. This year our primary fundraiser is a raffle for a pair of fabulous Red Sox tickets in a private section with an additional cash prize. We also sell T-shirts and hats to benefit the program. Our goal is to fundraise to meet the standard needs of the season at hand, while also supporting new activities and facility improvements. This season the Booster Club will be making possible team participation in pre-season inter-scholastic scrimmage events.. We are also working to fund physical improvements to the softball fields at Memorial, providing inside and outside training sessions, a pitching machine, assistant coach stipend, uniforms and other equipment needs, etc. We also organize and fund events including Awards Night and Senior Night.
